I don&amp;#39;t practice Zen Buddhism but have been told often that my way of being in the world follows a similar path. Quakerism gets mentioned too. Problem for me is no music! So instead I sit in a church choir loft every Sunday and listen to the organ pipes envelop me in sound as I stare out into a stained glass rose window in the back of the church. When the sun is shining I can very easily lose myself in that! Curious to know more about what you mean by knowledge. My study of philosophical epistemology has been a thorny ride (I have an easier time with ontologists) and I&amp;#39;ve always thought Buddhists steer away from &amp;quot;knowing&amp;quot; and instead emphasize &amp;quot;experience.&amp;quot; Or is that just my take (this happens to me a lot) on something that says more about what I think than about what&amp;#39;s really going on?</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/3610430154861217625/8138647997857348297/comments/default/8356180466058918919'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/3610430154861217625/8138647997857348297/comments/default/8356180466058918919'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://blog.kimmosley.com/2012/01/my-understanding-of-no-self.html?showComment=1325682555226#c8356180466058918919' title=''/><author><name>christopher</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/17886169630043246867</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='24' height='32' src='http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-U0u8STBciyg/TwO6-Y7TSUI/AAAAAAAAADY/mMsIzVqspXs/s220/IMG_1562.jpg'/></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://blog.kimmosley.com/2012/01/my-understanding-of-no-self.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3610430154861217625.post-8138647997857348297' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/3610430154861217625/posts/default/8138647997857348297' type='text/html'/><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='blogger.itemClass' value='pid-122532289'/></entry></feed>
