Dirty Glasses

My glasses were so
dirty I could not see
the world.

Patanjali, Yoga Sutra, Chapter One: Samadhipadah (the chapter on Samadhi):

1.1 Here begins the authoritative instruction on yoga.
1.2 Yoga is the ability to direct the mind exclusively toward an object and sustain that direction without any distractions [single-pointedness]
1.3 Then the ability to understand the object fully and correctly is apparent.
1.4 [When yoga is absent] The ability to understand the object is simply replaced by the mind’s conception of that object or by a total lack of comprehension.

NYC Pretzels

The first NYC pretzel was
steamy & delicious. The 2nd
one was frozen & cost $1
more.

Simon and his dad went to NYC with me.
Here is a drawing that Simon did at
MOMA. I like it.

I met an old man . . .

I met an old man in
the park who looked just
like me. He was an engineer
from Chicago who liked to
make photos.

Dinner

We came to dinner and no body was there. (Kim)

The dinner was great but no body was there. The waitress was present but seemed as if she was not there. The street was deserted. The only things that seemed to be present were the street lamps. No one was there. (Zora)

Political Monkey Mind

Realists
insist that
eyes should be
in the middle.

Don't flip-flop.

Keep it
the way it
is!
A good motto?
