Is Anything Passive?

at an old chair
on our patio.
It has not

I see her holding on
for dear life,
to an earth
revolving around the sun,

and a galaxy
floating in an expanding
universe.
Hummingbirds dart so quickly
that they perceive humans
as statutes.
I suspect they are moving
just a minuscule faster than my chair
or even a stone Buddha.
