Illusion?
Rather than thinking of illusions as things that aren't true, I think they are more constructs we create to explain what we sense. For example, we sit down in front of some wood and nails. We construct it in our mind as a table. To a woodpecker, it is dinner. That it is a table (or dinner) is an illusion
Is it ever really a table?
No... It is not a table. It is not really even wood, it you ask a physicist.
