Kim, is another possibility that the waterfall is by its nature a rushing body/portion of the ecology of river/stream? Its role of moving quickly/(rushing as you may be projecting) is its state of being which contributes to the larger pattern of nature? Would it be helpful to tame the overwhelm that you say you experience consistently, to breathe into that which for you would be a counter example of rushing/overwhelm? The breeze, a wombat or a cat waking from a nap, the movement of a caterpillar?
