I'm in your corner, Kim. I believe I don't sweat the small stuff, and can adhere to the big picture. I don't have a partner, and I realize I have spent an inordinate amount of time arguing with myself, nitpicking my own choices/actions. WHAT! Often when I "hear" what I am doing I will just laugh at myself, and say, "O, how Human!"
