Like I always say: 'The measuring stick we judge others by is the same one that we beat ourselves with.' We are, after all, the only one we are always with. A quiet mind is a good friend to be with. Endless internal chatter can be annoying so personally I try to keep my mind as empty of words as possible. Then I can hear or perhaps rather, feel my intuition. I am not sure that people have the intention to keep a quiet mind and without such an intention it is quite impossible to practice quietude because one never thinks of it from being too busy chattering to one's self whoever that might be. Well, back to silence.
